View Full Version : Email Notifacation not taking

I have chaged the notifacation so that ShipRush does the sending of email.
However it will not take. I even process the end of day, restart and even made sure that the SMPT was set. I need the single emails that ShipRush does. FedEx does the all in one email thing.
Please advise.

Will not take? The settings will not stay?

I've tested this on my own bench environment, and the settings "stick" and SR produces the email.

Must make sure to set the SMTP is set under Advanced | Email Settings as well as setting the Notification area under your account | Notifications.

What should the port be if i do the manually SMTP?
This is under the Advanced | Email Settings...

25 is the default.

If that doesn't work, your ISP may require a different port.

Still nothing. I check thet box to allow SR to send the email under
account | Notifications. I also tried both settings under Advanced | Email Settings.
Still can not get it to stay for the allow SR to send email.
Any thing else I need to try?

Could you please specify what you see when you go back into settings? Does it revert back to the prior setting?

Have not seen this in any environment before. How are you logged into the PC (as an admin user, normal user)?

This is installed on the one PC, logged on the PC as the Admin. No users setup...

After checking this box and close out of settings, then go back into settings it does go back to prior setting. I have done a close end of day reboot and restart SH...
Still reverts...

Possible resolution:

Corrupted ini file
Browse out to c:\documents and settings\username\application data\z-firm llc\shiprush v4
locate shiprushclient4.ini
rename to oldshiprushclient4.ini

Launch ShipRush
Should be prompted with the setup wizard
Fill in the data
Set your email as you desire

Does it stick?

Then done the I Launched ShipRush
However you said...

I did not get prompt for anything.
Which is good. I did not want to fill in data again.
But good news is the email notifcation stuck...

FYI,,, Spoke to soon.
The setting for scale, printer, and the default information all had to be reconfigured.
So far everything seems to be working fine.
