Both Web and standalone are set to "Robust" address validation.

order # 34529

Message from Endicia server: Unable to validate Ship To address. The address is not a deliverable location according to the US Postal Service. Error encountered (Log ID: 35119)

Address is in UNION PIER, MI 49129

But when I ship order with standalone software the label prints out just fine.

To make this work you may need to change the address verification setting from Robust to... disabled.

ShipRush is doing what you ask. When you set to Robust, you are asking ShipRush to enforce only printing labels to addresses that are delivery verified.

You can still ship there, even successfully, but that does not make the address (as you are entering it) delivery verified...

I am unable to process that shipment in desktop or web version. On your desktop version, you may have an additional address validation setting turned off. Settings | Shipping Settings | Endicia Account. There is a Validate Addresses setting on the right. If that is turned off, Endicia will not validate the address.

As an fyi, that address does not validate at USPS.com either.

Very interesting. The address shows up on mapping software and real estate sites just fine... thanks for the info. Didn't realize Endicia has its own separate validation option.

We agree.

Remember, a map is different that DPV. You can map something all day long, but that does not mean the address is DPV.

From the Melissa Data site:

What is DPV?

Delivery Point Verification (DPV) is an add-on feature of MAILERS+4 that comes on a separate CD-ROM. DPV is an option found in Address Check function. When it is enabled your list will be verified to a higher standard. Where the CASS Certification of Address Check verifies that an address is in a valid range, DPV verifies that an actual address is valid. For example, all the addresses in the range of 120 to 130 Main St will have the same ZIP+4. The DPV add-on will indicate which of the addresses in the range of 120 to 130 are valid or invalid and therefore should not be mailed. DPV will improve the accuracy of your mailing list and help you save on postage and printing.
