View Full Version : A "From" address that we cannot get change

There is a "phantom" From address that we cannot edit or get rid of. It is an address we entered sometime when we first set up the account.

This is the address:

Dxxx Gxxxxx
Warehouse 1-773-3xx-5x
xxxx N Ashland Ave
Chicago, IA, 6xxxx

When we post-in an order, it uses this address as the From address.

So far we have tried:
- We deleted all the addresses from the address book.
- We have changed the default From address for all the shipping accounts we use.
- We created an automation rule to change the From address for all orders. However, the only address available in the pull-down menu is the "phantom" address!

Please let us know how to change or delete this global default "From" address.

Did you change the Account address?

Go to Settings in SR Web
On upper left, click on User Settings

See the address there.

Is that the solve?

No, that did not solve the problem.

Here are the steps we followed:
- Go to Settings in SR Web
- On upper left, click User settings
- The only address there is under "Billing Address". That is not the address that is causing problems.
- We changed the "Billing Address" anyway.
- That did not correct the problem.

Looking at your ShipRush Web account, the address above appears to be the default address for all of your shipping accounts still. You will want to log into My.ShipRush.com, go to settings, click on your first shipping account, scroll to the bottom and click "Edit" next to the address and update it to the address you would like to use, then click Save. Repeat that process for the rest of your shipping accounts.

It also appears that is the default address for your webstore. To update that, still in settings click on your store in the bottom left corner, then click "Shipment Defaults" below it. Update the address here to - it will save automatically when you click away.

Yes, it was the default shipping info for the webstore. I changed that and the problem is fixed. Thanks for your help.

You may want to reduce the number of places the address is configured (for sanity).

If poss, it should _only_ be on the shipping account, not on any web stores (unless you need customized FROM by web store).

Thank you. We removed the From address from the web stores. Now the shipping account From address is used by default. And our sanity is preserved. :)
