All of our imported weborders have emails associated with their shipment, but we also ship to a number of customers with no email.

When I view a shipment for a web order, or select a contact from the address book to ship to, I'd like for the Email box to become checked if there is an email address in the field, and I'd like for it to remain unchecked if there is no email. I thought I had this figured out with the following automation rule, but it's not working.


If it has a notification email, then check the box to send an email notification. Is this not right?

When I'm editing or preparing a shipment and run that rule, a message at the top displays:

"1 automation rule checked against 1 shipment/order. No matches found."

...and then all of the shipment data changes to someone else's shipment. It's very troublesome. What's wrong with this rule, and why does my shipment data change after running it?

This has been fixed and properly sets the Email notification flag if an email address is present.
