We have installed SR for QB 2006 to use with our newly installed QB 2006 Pro.

We get an error:

Assertion failure (C:\Develop\Components\Production\General\zf_utils .pas, line 817)

when trying to connect to the location of the ShipRush database.

It would be helpful if you post the version and build number of ShipRush you are running.

Can't start the program to find out. It's the version one finds when following this link posted on the Announcements forum:

Z-Firm is pleased to make this version available as a pre-release.

Download it here:
http://www.zfirm.com/downloads/beta...sh_v4_FedEx.exe

After downloading, simply run it and it will update your system.

To get you going sooner (rather than later):


The odds are that you can reset the database and continue on.

Simply close ShipRush, find the database folder (a hidden dir under c:\documents and settings\ USER NAME \application data\Z-Firm\... )

Rename the database dir
start ShipRush
The wizard should start

And then you can go through the wizard and get the system going again.

The suggestion has been done. We get the same results.

The path we changed was C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Z Firm LLC\ShipRush v4\Database.v4 to C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Z Firm LLC\ShipRush v4\dir.

When we did this and restarted ShipRush, a directory named dir appeared at the same level but the folder Database.v4 was recreated and is empty.

Now to complicate things further (hopefully not) the database we have been using was on drive H: not C:. Notice the path we have set from the screen shots. Should we try this on the SHIPPING (drive H) PC?

Yes rename the one out on the H drive, as that is what is being pointed at. Rename the current database.v4 and see if ShipRush re-creates.

That did it. Nice to deal with someone who knows his/her product well enough to get customers through the rough spots.
