View Full Version : How do I transfer from one computer to another?

We purchased a new computer and are trying to transfer the Ship Rush 3 pro edition to new computer and are not having any luck. We want to put the program on new computer and delete off the old one. Can you please help.

Transfer ShipRush UPS v3 Pro to a new computer:

These steps require that you be familiar with computers. Improper use may render ShipRush system inoperable.

On the old computer:
Browse to program files\z-firm llc\shiprush v3
Run ShipRushDBManager.exe
Click on "Save System State"
Verify that the ShipRush application directory is correct (default is program files\z-firm llc\shiprush v3)
Click Start
Let the Save State process run
Once completed it will provide you with a path to a folder of the backed up data. Note that path as you will need to get that folder and its contents on the new computer
Click finish

Copy the backup folder noted above to the new computer
Save it to c:\temp or someother easy to find folder location
Delete the following items from the backup folder:
- applogs
- pld
- upslogs

Run the installer for ShipRush UPS v3 Pro on the new computer
Reboot when prompted after installation is complete
After reboot, cancel out of the setup wizard for ShipRush
Browse out to program files\z-firm llc\shiprush v3
Launch ShipRushDBManager.exe
Click "Restore System State"
Browse out to the backup folder prepared above on the new computer
Verify the ShipRush application directory is correct
Click Start

Once completed, without errors, close the ShipRushDBManager.exe. Reboot the PC and launch ShipRush as you normally would. You should be able to see your old shipments under View Shipments from the old computer.

To test restore, process a shipment that you have and perform end of day. It should process correctly.

At that point you can uninstall ShipRush from the old computer.

Do we have any technical support with the system we purchased already? Could someone from Z-firm be able to do this by getting into our system?

Yes the email I did receive. We should have 3 free technical supports with the package we baught.
