After renewing my subscription I am unable to notify recipients of shipment because the STMP server name is not valid. What does this mean?

Are you trying to send custom email notifications with ShipRush? If so, go into settings | shipping settings | advanced | email settings and make sure that the SMTP server settings are configured correctly.

You can also set it so that the carrier sends the email. To do that go into settings | shipping settings | account | notifications and make sure it's set to shipping carrier sends email notifications.

I am having trouble with this also.

stmp.gmail.com tried both port (465 & 587)

I don't see where to set the carrier sends notification. I am using USPS via endicia.

read both and followed the gmail instructions. I get an error "unable to connect" when I try to test.

Sounds like something is in the way (personal firewall, isp...).

Try setting up Outlook (or Opera mail, or whatever) for the same smtp settings.... does it work?

(From the sound of it, either there is something wrong with the smtp server info, or something is blocking communication.)

There are two places to setup email.

settings | shipping settings | advanced | email settings
settings | email

I tested the first and it works. I tested the second and I get an error:
"Unable to send email"

Both have the same settings.
