View Full Version : ShipRush slow to start on new shipment

We have shiprush Pro for UPS integrated with our POS appliation and we're seeing two problems.

1. Long delays when we call the StartNewShipment function. We've inserted diagnostic messages that track the time we call the function until it returns. We're seeing delays from 3 minutes up to 21 minutes.

The first time the user logs on and starts a shipment it comes up quickly. The 2nd and subsequent times we see the delays. if the user logs off and back on it will again come up quickly the first time, then subsequent times will be slow.

2. When we log into the server and start shiprush we have to re-accept the license agreement and re-select our printers. We don't have to re-supply the activation and address info. This does not happen every time, but every other time we log in or so (not consistent)

We have it installed on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition Server running Terminal services. The server hosts approx 25 user sessions. The server is a dual 2.8ghz xeon with 4GB of RAM, and SCSI raid array of drives yielding 70GB of fast storage.

Only one user actually uses Shiprush. Both the server and client are installed on the terminal server. We connect to the internet via a DSL connection.
