Our company uses many pre-written letters which have the merge codes for Contact, company, department, street address, city state and zip. We have noticed that when we merge a letter to a company that does not have a department (meaning we leave the field blank in CRM), the address then has a blank space between company and street address, where the department would go. Is there a reason why omnirsush does not compensate for the incomplete field by moving the merge fields below up one space? or is this a design flaw? What can be done to correct this without having to duplicate all letters and leaving out the department merge code on the duplicates.

Please indicate what mergecodes you're using for your document(s)? Give an example of how you have them on the RTF.

The following are the merge codes used and all are saved in RTF in this layout.

&Contact
&Company
&CA_Line2 (this is the Department field)
&CA_Line1, &CA_Line3 (this is the street and suite # address)
&City, &State &Zip

That is not a flaw in the design of OmniRush. It is a limitation in the document. Since it is its own line, and nothing is merged (due to no information) that line will be blank. Same would be true if there wasn't a company name for the &Company mergefield.

I will pass this along to development as a suggestion for future enhancement in the software.
