2 questions. How do you get this program to default to checking the email box to auto send emails to buyers?

I keep getting errors in sending emails from my smtp gmail account. It says there is an invalid email or invalid email server. I think I've copied my exact setttings from my shiprush endicia, but I still get the errors. Is this a known problem? or am I still doing something wrong?

smtp.gmail.com port 465
requires authentication
use ssl

In ShipRush generally (all flavors), it is important to fully exit ShipRush after entering or changing email settings.

It is a flaw.

Please give that a try and see if it helps.

You'll want to make sure you have the correct email area configured, as there are two possible emails that can be sent out.

There's an email under Order Manager | Settings | Email. Is that configured? If so, that's a different email than the check box you see on the shipping form. You may want to turn off the auto email confirmation after shipment under Order Manager Settings.

If you wish to send a shipment notification, please go into Shipping Settings:
- Notifications - configure as needed for email template, from info, etc. Also put a check Shipment at the top
- Advanced | Email Settings - Configure for your gmail server etc

Close ShipRush completely and restart. Now you can go back into settings | shipping settings | advanced | email and do a test.
