Thread: Label Print Problem: Failed Log File Open

    We have one workstation running Windows 7 & are having a problem printing labels from either ShipRush UPS v.9.5.0.48348 for FedEx. The shipments appear to process as we can use "reprint label" from another workstation. The message on the Windows 7 workstation is: "Unable to save label: Failed Log File Open [55]". We also cannot run the EOD on that workstation. Our file server hosts our database & we have two workstations. The File Server is Windows 2003 & the working workstation is Windows XP3 Professional - the troublesome workstation is Windows 7. Any ideas???

    Of course, several times..... This has been going on for about 2 weeks now. I'm starting to think it's some kind of Windows 7 OS error as we are also having problems with our other Zebra printers not working that go with other label programs for our products. This particular workstation seemed to start having problems when we installed a QuickBooks Enterprise 12.0 update. It was installed on the main file server & 6 other workstations w/o a problem. The Windows 7 machine is the only one having problems.

    What happens if you uninstall the printer and re-install it? If there are issues with other Zebra printers, this doesn't sound like a ShipRush issue, but rather as you indicated, and issue in the OS itself.

    If the printer is local, you could look at the alternate printer installation method outlined in the helpfile (installing the printer as a simple text only printer driver):

    I'll try your advice to see if anything changes but I'm believing it is an OS problem. Thanks for the advice. I'll let you know if it helps at all....
