Thread: Home delivery designation incorrect

  1. #1
A large percentage of my commercial deliveries get tagged as Home deliveries by Ship Rush. I have been working with FedEx on this issue and I have currently removed the address checker on Ship Rush which has fixed my Home Delivery problem but by doing this then it does not verify that the address is a valid address or not.....

I would like to have Ship Rush change their methodology - We should be able to over-ride if this is going as Commercial or as a Residential shipment..... and still be able to use the address checker...

We only ship things to commercial businesses and ever we never shipped things to a consumer or residence address.

This is already being reviewed as a new feature, Case 30931

    Thank you,

Also, do you have a couple examples of addresses that get set to Residential when they should in fact be Commercial?

We are having the reverse issue - ShipRush checks the commercial box (for our residential shipments) randomly and this is not visible to the user until the report afterward. UPS has therefore been charging us fees for supposedly not selecting residential as the address type. We have a case open with ShipRush: #21072, but have not been informed of any progress on the issue. We do not wish to be charged the extra fees by UPS, and so are not using ShipRush to process our shipments at the moment. We allowed our ShipRush license to expire, but would like to renew once this problem is corrected.

In addition to the above more pressing concern, there are a few other inconveniences: the recipient's e-mail address and phone number are often not picked up by Ship Rush from Quickbooks, and to get a tracking number to paste into the Quickbooks invoice, you have to click in the items field of the invoice before processing the shipment.

We would need example addresses for this. We get this information from either carrier servers or the Postal Service servers to validate against.

If the order has had a Credit Card run against it, it is locked and we cannot access the phone # or email address from the database (if this applies to you). Also, clicking into the items field is a known requirement to get us to post back correctly into the invoice.

    Svouthi,

This post is too confusing for us to really engage with. We really want to help. Here is what makes this post hard:

    1) This is an old thread. We suggest you start a new fresh thread. (It can be hard for us to know what applies to you and what does not)

    2) This thread is about FedEx, but you discuss UPS a lot in your post.
-- FedEx issues should be posted in its own thread, please do not mix FedEx and UPS questions... as they are very different animals.

    3) You also discuss a quickbooks topic. This should be in its own thread.

    Thank you!

We sent example addresses in an e-mail. Is that available to you as part of our case file?
