My smartpost labels print perfectly except for the USPS barcode is completely missing. The delivery confirmation and tracking number are there, but the barcode is not.
Are you printing to a Eltron\Zebra 2844?
We have had reports that Smartpost doesn't print correctly to the older 2844 printers.
Update your printer to a newer ZPL Printer, like the ZP500 or GX420. You may be able to get an updated printer from FedEx as well.
That I do not know.
The 2844 printer has been around for a long long time. The older ones have a firmware problem that causes this issue.
- Probable solution: Update the firmware on the printer (contact Zebra for this info, you might have to get firmware update from UPS or whoever originally distributed that printer)
- Sure solution: Replace the printer. Either pick up a used ZP450 or ZP500, or you can get a brand new ZP450 for under $200 (email ShipRush customer service for the url)
