Thread: connecting multiple computers with one ship rush account

  1. #1
We are a small business that ships items. currently there are 3 computers with ship rush that can make shipping labels. I would like all three computers to talk to each other, sharing the shipping information and tracking numbers. we do have a server if that's needed.
does anyone know if this is possible and how would one go about doing this?

Thanks, any reply will be helpful

If this is ShipRush FedEx, the steps to share on a network are fairly simple:

Determine which machine's database is going to become the main database for all users
Locate the database(s) for ShipRush on that machine
ShipRush database is typically located here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Z-Firm LLC\ShipRush\Database
If this is with Order Manager (eComm solution), the Order Manager database will be here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Z-Firm LLC\OrderManager\Database

Copy the database(s) out to your server, where everyone has access. We suggest setting up a folder structure on the server something like this: Z-Firm LLC folder, two sub-folders, ShipRush and OrderManager. Place the Database folder for each piece inside of their corresponding folder (Z-Firm LLC\ShipRush\Database and Z-Firm LLC\OrderManager\Database).

Now the database(s) are available on the network. On each machine, go into Settings | Database (this is for the Order Manager portion) and Settings | Shipping Settings | Advanced | Connection Settings and point to the new database locations.

One note, the machines all need to be running the same version\build of ShipRush. You may want to check the Help | About area to verify they are all the same.
