Thread: preventing changes to Settings

  1. #1
I would like to be able to control access to the Program Settings section of shiprush, is there any documentation available on how to do this?

Can you clarify what you're looking to control? We don't have an option to "lock" someone out of the settings, if ShipRush is installed.

I would like to be able to prevent anyone from viewing or modifying the SQL query that is found when you go to Program Settings, click the CM button, and go to the Getting Contact Info tab.
If that option is not directly available, would it be possible to mark some of the database files as read-only either through the database or at the file-system level, to prevent any changes from being made?

IIRC, the files that save the configuration for the SQL setup is stored here: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Z-Firm LLC\...

You might be able to control the rights to that folder location to accomplish this.

Better might be: Master copy of the file is on a server somewhere, RO. Then auto copy that file down, on login, every hour, whatever you want.

what I found to work best was to lock down the permissions on the file as recommended; this is in the user's AppData directory, Roaming\Z-Firm LLC\OpenContMan\OpenContManSettings.xml.
