Thread: Reprint Label

    We sometimes need to reprint a label due to a hardware print failure. We go into settings and change to a different printer and then try to reprint. Problem is the reprint tries to go back to the original printer and does not allow us to select a different printer.
    I can understand you can not make edits to the shipment itself (weight, address, etc.) but not being able to select a different printer doesn't make sense to me.

    Are we doing something wrong as I can't imagine the software is setup to prevent this option.

    Yes, when you reprint, by default, it goes to the same printer.

    You can go into settings and change the printer to a different printer of the same type, and reprint. The new printer must be the same type of printer as the original (e.g. if it was a Zebra, the new printer must be a Zebra, if a laser, the new printer must be a laser).

    That didn't work. We lost internet and had to tether our shipping computer to a mobile phone and then run cables direct to the printers instead of having them networked. We selected the exact same printer just using a different connection and it wouldn't print. It just kept kicking up the path of the other printer that failed.

    And you re-selected the printer in settings in ShipRush? Did a test print work from the settings?
