Thread: bypass address validation?

  1. #1
I like the address validation, but would like a way to bypass occasionally. For example, current address wants a suite/apt number but I don't want to include one. Is this possible? I don't think I had this problem with my old computer/shiprush.

Is this for postal? They are tighter on their address rules than carriers like UPS and FedEx. In certain situations we cannot bypass if an address requires a ste\apt\room value.

yes it is postal. When I can't bypass it, I just use the ebay shipping labels to print the label but I would prefer shiprush

We are always working with the postal providers on our backend to allow more latitude for addresses. It is a work in progress.

This is becoming more and more annoying to me. I have to continually switch over and print labels with ebay and amazon because shiprush won't let me ship or bypass the address validation system. I turned it off, but that doesn't matter. It didn't used to be this strict until I switched over to shiprush postage from endicia. Are you sure there is no way to fix this? the address to one of my regular customers will not work and it used to a few months ago. Any tips on getting this to work?

any updates on being able to disable address validation on usps shiprush? I continually have to switch to printing labels with ebay and amazon just to bypass this. With one regular customer, I have to add "B" to the end of an address because it wants a suite number, but then just mark it out with a sharpie after I print. ebay shipping accepts all of these addresses.

my latest example, I believe, is a ups store.

    Rancho Cordova, CA 95670

The customer has added an extra line for his specific mailbox that I'm didn't include in the above address. Even if I remove this suite number, the address still doesn't work. This is happening daily and it is getting really annoying. I didn't have this problem the first 10 years or so of using this software, it seems to be only in the past year or so, maybe when endicia was dropped but I don't' know.

Can you email the full address example you're trying to use to support at shiprush dot com? We would need to raise the issue with the postal provider on our backend with the examples.
