Thread: V12.1 install

  1. #1
I installed V12.1 on 4 machines without issue. Machine #5 will not go into the dialog to allow me to install as a client will start to install the databases and services. I've uninstalled a few times and started over with no help. I've deleted the install directory and checked for residual data in %appdata%. I also checked the registry and while I did see some entries for zfirm I did not see anything that looked like it would cause this.

Let it do the installation. It certainly thinks the "server" install was done previously on this machine.

After it does the installation, you can go into services and stop\disable the Z-Firm Shipping Service manually and then point to the database where it should be on the network.

I did the install and tried to register my account, but I got this error

Unable to activate account. (Process.AddShipper) Communication error while commissioning: connection error: Unable to connect to server www.upslinkvendor.ups.com. Unable to connect [53610]

Is this a workstation install, or a stand alone with it's own database?

OK...that means it's not connecting to the central database. A workstation setup shouldn't ask you to register you're account.

You can see how it's trying to connect by opening the connection file
    - Browse out to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Z-Firm LLC\ShipRush
    - Edit ShipRushConnectionSettings.ini

Either the DBISAMPath or SOAPServer should be pointing to the server location\instance. If pointing to SOAPServer, make sure that IsRemoteDBISAM is set to True

Save any changes and restart ShipRush
