Thread: Question on Rate Disparity While Rate Shopping

    I worked for a software company that integrates with your Shiprush Desktop software. Our system has the ability to rate shop and print labels via ShipRush. Recently a merchant brought an issue to our attention where the rate being returned via rate shopping via our software varied greatly than the rate returned when the shipping information was entered directly into ShipRush. The rate was roughly 2x's the amount of the expected rate. The merchant confirmed, that both the address and weight being used between both systems were identical. This hasn't been an issue before in the past and I'm not sure what would be different in this one particular case. Are there any logs available in ShipRush where I can compare the info that was sent to FedEx? Basically compare what was sent when the data was entered directly into ShipRush as compared to the data entered in our software which was sent to ShipRush when rate shopping.

    By default we do not log the raw information being sent to the carriers. Are you using our desktop integration? If so, what tool are you using for your rate shopping (SOAP, ActiveX)?

    Do you see the rates being x2 for all carriers, just one of the carriers? Is this only at one site\user location?

    It appears, from your email, that this happens with FedEx. If that is the case, please check your email for additional details on how to capture the xaction we send to FedEx and how to get that information back to us.

    Looks like this must have been a one time glitch. While confirming some additional information the merchant rate shopped with both systems again today and rates were identical. I'm not sure what happened, but thank you for the quick responses.
