Thread: Question regards to print label with Packing list.

  1. #1
Hi, I have a question regards to print a shipping label with packing list.

I've set to print packing slip with the shipping label and PDF itself generates well. but the problem is we are using Zebra thermal printer with the 4 x 6 thermal label paper for the printing shipping label. so if I just print the label with the packing slip, the shipping label prints weel but packing slip cut offed some portion and just print as much as it can print on 4 x 6 paper. I try to customize the packing slip or try to change the paper size for packing slip, but when I change the paper size for the packing slip, it disappears from the choosing packing slip template. Is there any way to print both shipping label and packing slip together by the thermal printer?

    Thank you.

Together? You would configure the shipping label to print on a 4x6 label to thermal, and configure the packing list to print to a 4x6 label to thermal. You wouldn't be able to configure to print as a single printable item to a 4x6 sheet.

I did for both Thermal and Packing list, but after I update packing list paper size to 4 x 6, then it disappear from the Setting -> Packing List -> Packing List Template.

Can you clarify what you mean when you say you update packing list paper size to 4x6? In the packing list settings, in ShipRush Web, I do not see an option to set paper size. If you indicate you're using a thermal printer as the printer type, you only get the available thermal printer packing list template options.

I go to Settings -> Template -> Add custom packing list template since I can`t adjust paper size on an existing template. then choose Zebra thermal printer as a printer Then choose it on Setting -> Packing List -> Packing List Template. When I choose Laser/Inkjet, it is on the list, but when I choose the Zebra Thermal Printer, it is disappeared from the list.

Thank you for the clarification. At this time the only templates that can be added for packing list are those to paper. We do not support creating or modifying existing templates to thermal printers.

You would simply configure both the packing list and the shipping label to output to the thermal printer (in each of their own settings area). Also enable the packing list to print automatically when you create a shipping label.

Then, when you create a shipping label, you'll get the label on one 4x6 sheet, and the packing list on another 4x6 sheet

    Thank you for the answer.

    Would you look into this?

I`m using Shiprush Web and Shipping Label has an option for 4 x 6 label. But the Packing list doesn`t have page/label type option and even no thermal printer/printing method option. Would you look into it and explain how do I configure the output to the thermal printer? Do I need to use Shiprush Cloud Print option?

Yes....to use thermal for either label printing or packing list printing, you would need to download and install the ShipRush Cloud Print to have the option available to set either to thermal.
