Thread: Override Holiday

  1. #1
My local post office said they will pick up on Monday (a Federal Holiday), but the ShipRush program will not allow me to print labels for 10/14. Is there a way to change/override this in the settings?

You should be able to go into settings | ShipRush USPS Account and uncheck the Holiday\Sunday option on the right

I was not able to find this option in the desktop app, so I went to my ShipRush webstore settings and Unchecked the "Holiday/Sunday: Bump ship date to weekday". I restarted my ShipRush desktop app, but I'm still not able to ship today (10/14). When I select 10/14 on the calendar and try to Lock in the date, it defaults back to 10/15.
Is the Holiday/Sunday setting in my app?

Try settings | shipping settings | advanced | shipping screen behavior

Uncheck "Auto increment ship date to next weekday"

    Thanks -- it worked.
    I have another semi-related question:

Before receiving this instruction on how to change the setting for Holiday/Sunday, my post office was coming out to pick up my shipment today (a Holiday). I couldn't print labels for 10/14, so I had to default them to 10/15. But now I'm not able to print a SCAN form for 100 packages I printed with a 10/15 date. I get the error "The SCAN form was unable to print".
Is there a way to get the SCAN form to print TODAY for packages dated 10/15? Thanks

There isn't a way to force a SCAN form for packages with a ship date of tomorrow. Sorry.

    Hello again,
As today is a Federal holiday, and USPS is closed, I still needed to print labels dated today (11/11), as my local Post Office was still doing pickups.
I followed the instructions above to be able to print labels today (unchecking the "Auto increment date to next weekday", which allowed me to lock in the 11/11/19 ship date field. HOWEVER, the labels do not print with the 11/11 date, but 11/12.
    Suggestions?

Hmmm...that may be still being controlled by the postal provider we are using to generate those labels, even if you have it turned off.

Please email to support at shiprush dot com with a couple tracking # examples and we can review the data being sent for the label, and what they are providing back.

    Thank you,

Are you using the desktop version of ShipRush (Order Manager)? If so, that may explain the issue. There's also a setting for this on the account in ShipRush Web, which would also need to be unchecked (sorry that I missed that before)

Log into ShipRush Web | Settings | ShipRush Discount Postage account
Uncheck the option for: Holiday/Sunday - Bump ship date to weekday
