Thread: Shiprush custom rates

  1. #1
Rates displayed in Shiprush are also written back to ERP for invoicing. The intent is to display and write negotiated rates in Shiprush Pro. Found an article in the Knowledge base where it sounds like this is possible (http://www.zfirm.com/knowledge_bases.../sr3p-0031.txt.)

Based on the article negotiated rates were requested and received from UPS in an Excel spreadsheet with custom rates for different services on individual worksheets. When comparing a single UPS worksheet against the Shiprush GNDComm.csv. The UPS file has lbs, zones 2-8, 44,45,46 (11 columns) and GNDComm csv has 35 columns without an identifier as to what the data is in reference to.

    Questions:
Is there a better definition of what the columns are in the GNDComm.csv file?
Is the file received by UPS simply in the wrong format?
Can this file with 11 columns be used or does more data need to be added to it?

Are you using ShipRush UPS Pro v12? We have migrated to a hosted rating engine within our servers and a local set of rate tables is no longer being used. Because of that, we do not offer the option to modify the rates displayed for ShipRush UPS Pro.

If you wish to have contract rates, you can look at using ShipRush UPS Basic. The only drawback to that option is it doesn't have an End of Day function. So, there won't be a single sheet to scan\sign for the driver.

    Thank you,

I am using Pro version 12.1.12.8729, I updated the rate in the GNDCOMM.csv for a shipment and it appears that the version I have is using the local files. Is there a later version that's using the hosted rating engine on your server?

It could be the download on our beta page, and not our regular download yet.

To answer the questions about the rate files, on the local system:
You can download a set of rate files from our 2014 rate folder:
    http://www.zfirm.com/downloads/asset...2014_Rates.zip
That has column headers indicating the different columns, for zones, HI and AK

The file you got from UPS cannot simply be dropped into our system, apologies.

    Thank you,

Getting a better understanding of rate files, noticed row of data labeled as Multiplier. Can we get more information as to what this does? or any other tips related to updating the rate files.

Apologies....I do not know what the Multiplier row controls. You could modify the value (set to an extreme value), save, launch ShipRush and see what it does to the rate displayed.
