Thread: Update Required! message

    Hello,

    There is a message in ShipRush web that says:

    Update Required!
    Due to recent security changes, all users are required to update their ShipRush Desktop Toolbox application.
    To update to the latest version the newest version of the ShipRush Desktop Toolbox, please download and run the installer for Windows or Mac/OSX

    The message does not specify which version is required. Even after the Desktop Toolbox is updated the alert reappears. The message can be dismissed, but it reappears with every log in.

    Is it possible to control/remove this message when the Desktop Toolbox application is updated? We don't want to tell our employees: "The urgent call to action you see in ShipRush, the one with the exclamation point. Well, ignore that."

    A generic call for an update that does not go away after the update is completed seems very counterproductive.

    What is the version number that is required?

    How can we obtain the current version.

    This method does not work:
    1) follow the 'Windows' link in the alert message "....please download and run the installer for Windows or Mac/OSX" to
    Code:
     https://my.shiprush.com/assets/ShipRush.Desktop.Toolbox.Installer.exe
    2) download the installer file
    3) run the installer
    4) restart the Desktop Toolbox

    After doing that, the version number reported by Desktop Toolbox is 'Build: 4.0.11.664'

    SYSOPS is online now
    Go into Add\Remove Programs in Windows and uninstall the current toolkit\toolbox
    Browse out to C:\Users\CurrentUserLoggedIn\AppData\Roaming (where CurrentUserLoggedIn is the username on the PC)
    Delete ShipRush.Desktop.Toolbox

    Now install the latest installer downloaded and it will update properly
