Thread: Errors when upgrading from 4.0 to 4.5

    Using SR version 4.0.0.1488 on Dell XPS400, Windows XP Media. Program works but want to upgrade.
    When performing upgrade, Install Shild extracts files then delays for several minutes then displays error. I abort the installation.

    When I try to Uninstall the program, I get another error.

    The installer itself is blowing up.

    This was good information. I did all the steps that applied. Still have the same error.

    It is an InstallShield issue on the PC. Try logging in as a different user and try to update.

    Other option would be to get a backup of your data (if you need that), uninstall ShipRush manually, and try to install again.

    Problem solved and here's what worked.
    In one of your suggestions (article: all044.txt) it states to rename the //InstallShield/Engine subfolder and basically try the ShipRush upgrade again.

    The InstallShield website has this to offer which includes the additional step of installing the latest version of the iKernel engine.
