A question for those who have done this. Does this makes your rates cheaper than the normal UPS daily rates? After signing up, the shipping estimate is giving me the exact same price (fedex) that UPS charges me for daily rates. I was hoping to get cheaper so perhaps signing up hasn't taken into effect yet on my fedex account.

One thing to check: in ShipRush settings, in the rate area, is it set to show contract rates?

Also note: after signing up for the discount, it takes a couple of weeks to actually have the discount applied to your account. FedEx sends you a welcome kit when you are fully in the program.

What kind of Welcome Kit? Does it come by mail or Email? I signed up but there is no acknowledgement from Fedex. In addition my rates have not changed that I can tell and I signed up 2 months ago.

Also when I call fedex customer service they have no idea what this offer is about.

It should have been a package from FedEx, delivered to you.

Call the FedEx Advantage Specialists at (800)475-6708 for assistance in this matter. They will be able to tell you more information.

The general FedEx customer service folks may (or may not) be familiar with this program. You'd want to call the FedEx Advantage team directly. You can reach them at (800)475-6708.

I just signed up to check on the rates. The "standard list rates" are exactly the same as standard UPS Daily rates. Beside that I have "your rate" which is about 5% lower than the FedEx standard rate, it has a volume discount even though I have never shipped with them. It must be based on what I told them when signing up. So this way it comes out a little less than UPS Daily rates.

I was told you need to pay with a credit card and they will not do weekly billing for new accounts?! This is impossible, I need a consolidated bill for shipping not a few hundred FedEx charges per month on a CC. I also saw somewhere about a 5% discount for using Amex, and other ways to get discounts.

I haven't checked into FedEx pickup costs or how that works since I'm used to UPS.

We believe billing for new accounts is set up through a credit card initially but can be converted to weekly invoicing after sometime billing to a credit card. Please contact FedEx billing for the full details.

    Attached discount information.

The "volume" discount that shows up in rate calculations with this program is actually the Z-Firm contracted discount and is based on distance, 5-20% for ground, off of "standard list rates" which are NOT the retail rates, they are the standard rates for people with accounts and also the same as UPS daily rates which you have to have a pickup ($10/week) to get.

    Thank you for the info.

We removed the attachment, because we are not sure if that is public, or if it is only for folks who sign up.

The discount has no volume commitment. You get the discount on every shipment, whether you ship one parcel a week or one hundred.

New FedEx accounts typically are on credit card payment basis. After some weeks, you can request that the account be switched to net terms. (Ask FedEx for details on this, we do not manage FedEx accounts or payment terms.)
