Thread: Freight Collect and third party acct #

  1. #1
    Hi,

When i ship a package freight collect or third party billing the customers account number gets printed on the label. Is there any way to disable the customer account number printing on the label? Our customer has expressed concerns that since it shows up anyone can write it down and ship packages using their acct number. I just checked and worldship doesnt print the cust acct # but just third party billing or freight collect. Any ideas here? Thanks

    WMSI

Are you on SR 5.x or v6?

    Generally:

    Ideas?

Sure... but I don't know if it will help.....

The idea is: Calm down and stop worrying... <g>

Every single UPS label has the shipper account in clear text in the middle of the tracking #.

    Yes, it is vulnerable.

No, it is not your (or our, or the customer's) problem. It is UPS's problem....

we are on the last release prior to V6. The shipper acct isnt the problem...its the customers account number thats being printed on the label. The only reason i brought it up is because UPS's product called worldship doesnt print third party or freight collect account number on the label. The client im installing shiprush at isn't used to having the freight collect or 3rd party accounts showing up on the label and they are concerned. Since worldship doesnt print it i assumed Shiprush is doing something different. Is it possible to get the FC or 3PB acct# to stop printing on SR labels or no? Thanks for your help =)

    Couple items...

Generally... ALL ShipRush labels are throroughly tested by UPS to meet UPS specs. We can't just go make a change for fun to the labels. Every pixel is specified (and verified) by UPS.

Next: If you are not running on ShipRush v6, the first step is to move to v6. We can't start to discuss details of the UPS implementation until you are current.

    Thank you!
