Thread: Hong Kong zip code issue

  1. #1
Our customer is trying to process a shipment to Hong kong and they recieve the following error :

FedEx server returned error: Recipient country requires a postal code served by FedEx

The thing is the Fed-EX international customer support told them currently there is no zip code requirement for Hong Kong because Hong Kong doesn’t have any zip codes/postal codes

what should they do ? how can they process the shipment ?

Must have been a change with FedEx recently. You can put in 0000 for the zipcode to satisfy the test for zipcode value.

Can you check this in the mean time with Fedex ?
if this is the case the software should avoid use the zip code field for counties without a postal code system.

What version of ShipRush is this?

What is the exact address this happened with?

I am trying to replicate in v7 without success. This may already be addressed in the next version.

To check with FedEx, try using that address to ship at fedex.com (We can't test it without the full address, exactly as you use it. For a quick "self check" give it a try at fedex.com)
