Thread: update tracking emails

  1. #1
I upgrade to the latest version of shiprush. now I am getting many e-mails from updatetracking@fedex.com and I do not know why. The only thing I have checked is notification on the orders screen. In the new version is there something I might have missed or checked accidently? I never received emails from the past from that address

Can you please tell us exactly what version and build you updated to?

That info will help us understand what is going on.

V7.5 uses a different (newer, better) system at FedEx.

Yes, the emails will change a bit. But they should work properly.

Can you help us understand the nature of the problem?

I would say it's not a problem, some might want notification everytime a package gets scanned by FedEx.

Personally the amount I ship I am not interested in receiving all the details. I just want the initial notification from Shiprush and nothing from FedEx. On the order page my email and the customers come up for notification. that's perfect for me.

I do have my FedEx account set up so I receive any exceptions via e-mail on delivery problems and did this long before Shiprush was installed.

I did uncheck auto copy from e-mail today but will not know if that resolved the issue until the FedEx driver scans in the packages. Last time I received many e-mails about 10 minutes after his scan.

Just shows how well FedEx gets information back to their customers!

    And just to verify:

In settings | shipping settings | notifications

What do you have configured (Shipment, Exception, Delivery)?
Is ShipRush configured to send the email in this notification area, or is FedEx?

    Thank you,

OK, but what are you settings for these 3 things: (Shipment, Exception, Delivery)?

    Under Shipment Email Notification Options
Shipment is checked. (unchecking it also unchecks default notification on the order page)

Exception, Delivery, auto copy, enable extended not... all unchecked

    Under Shipment Notifications Settings

Shipping carrier sends emails notifications - unchecked
ShipRush sends email notifications - checked
