Thread: Ship Method & Excel

  1. #1
    Hey guys...

    The Excel import process continues...

I do not see an import header for ship method. Is it called something else? Without being able to import it we are back to not being able to batch print the import.

From the import test dialog in Settings I can see the available fields. Is ship method one of the "NOT FOUND" fields?

it would appear that ShipMethod is not an option. Reporting to development. Case 24852

OK, thanks. This seems strange though... How are people doing batch label printing from import? Are they pausing on every label to change the ship method? If so this is disappointing as now without this information it looks like ShipRush may not work well for us.

Is My.ShipRush an option here? If so, where might I find the DETAILED documentation listing the steps (with examples) on how to implement a custom store in My.Shiprush. This would be an acceptable option. Thanks.

Most people know how they're shipping something when using Excel. In your case, you're adding additional data being flowed from a shopping cart.

You can download the php kit here:
    https://my.shiprush.com/assets/ShipR...EADME_file.zip

In there is a readme for custom development.

    Thanks SYSOP!

Mea culpa... but PHP is not an option for our eComm sites. Only .aspx (C#). Are there docs anywhere to implement this on a .NET platform?

No sorry. All of our current eComm solutions are based on php. I will ask around the office if anyone has any additional information to add.

OK, I understand. Thanks for looking. I will attempt to translate the PHP sampes. If in the meantime anyone has any info that can help, it would be appreciated.

The current docs are ... the php files themselves.

The php code does two things:

    - Defines a protocol that can be called via an HTTP GET
    - Defines an xml structure for the response
    - Access the cart system or database
    - Populates results

There are some security aspects, but the whole thing is pretty concise.

If you are in a rush, take that route. Start with:
    Custom-Development-Readme.txt

And then walk the code, from ShippingZSimulator.php on up the stack.

If you have 2-3 weeks, we _may_ be able to come up with some .NET pieces. (ZF Case 24857)

LOL... thanks, that will get me started! If it gets too crazy I might just create separate uploads per ship method and let them import them that way. But it would be nice to give them a unified solution. Thanks again for the help! Wish me luck!
