Thread: Volusion shipping methods not getting to ShipRush

  1. #1
My Volusion store is setup with 6 different Fed Ex ship methods. When I display the ship method column within ShipRush is show "not selected" instead of showing the correct shipping method.

Is there any special configuration needed?

May need to map the service from Volusion with the name of the ShipRush in ShipRush:
    http://www.zfirm.com/Product_Documen...ip_Methods.htm

Please note what the service is named in the eComm solution. If it is called Federal Express Ground, that is what you need to put into Ship Method Name in Webstore (exact match)

I did set those, but the methods are still not coming through. I also tried using the shipping ID number from Volusion and setting the Service code. Still no go.

When you log into My.ShipRush, do you see the correct ship methods there?

(And you can email your my.shiprush login id to support at zfirmllc.com)

    Thanks!

Any update? We been exporting and manually processing orders. Some of the orders that we processed with ShipRush have a tracking number, but when you try to track it with Fed Ex it says that the tracking number is not found. Some number of orders also look like they did not update the order with the tracking number. This is a disaster for us. Please call me if you get this message.

Also, when I open ShipRush now it says that it is "Processing" orders and I am afraid that if we already processed orders manually, ShipRush is going to override our shipping or add another shipping label for our orders. Please help.

Trying to track a day or two after you turned in the package, or the same day? If same day, it will not be in the system right away.

Some number of orders also look like they did not update the order with the tracking number
Do you mean back in Volusion?

The processing would be the downloading of orders. We will not override any data or create another shipping label. They shouldn't flow into ShipRush Order Manager as long as My.ShipRush isn't set to download items marked as Shipped from Volusion.

    Hello!

It is usually best to keep a forum thread focused on a single, specific question or issue. When one thread tries to discuss multiple issues, it gets messy...

Anyway, I would suggest contacting us by phone next week.

    To your questions:

    >> Some of the orders that we processed with ShipRush have a tracking number, but
    >> when you try to track it with Fed Ex it says that the tracking number is not found.

If ShipRush made the label, and if you gave the box to FedEx, it should track. This is a "ShipRush" question. if the problem persists, you should please work with us directly on it.

    >> Some number of orders also look like they did not update the order with the
    >> tracking number.

The above is not %100 clear. I think what you mean is "we shipped it in ShipRush, but in Volusion there is no tracking number."

A couple of notes (assuming our understanding is correct!):

    - ShipRush will only send the track # to Volusion if you ship from the ShipRush order manager. If you ship any other way, the shipment is not linked to a Volusion order.
    - In ShipRush Order Manager, look up the order. Does it show as shipped?

We will want to discuss this with you by tel to chase down what happened.

    >> Also, when I open ShipRush now it says that it is "Processing" orders

You mean the order status in ShipRush is "processing" when you expect it to be something else?

    >> if we already processed orders manually,

Be careful. If you use two different systems or workflows to ship, you need to design it all carefully.

Remember that a sequence like this is a mess:

    a) -- ShipRush retrieves orders from Volusion
    b) -- You export Volusion data, and manually process orders in some other system
    c) -- You now look in ShipRush to process orders

In the sequence above, in 'c' ShipRush does not know what happened in step 'b.'

You need to design the sequence properly, so that the different systems stay "in the know." For example, the following works:

    a) -- You export Volusion data, and manually process orders in some other system
    b) -- Volusion is updated with all the info from step 'a'
    c) -- ShipRush retrieves orders from Volusion (make sure that all the current info flows from Volusion to ShipRush, can take two refreshes at 30 min intervals...)
    d) -- You now look in ShipRush to process orders

    The following is better:

    a) -- Before lunch, do a refresh in ShipRush
    b) -- An hour later (after lunch), do another ShipRush refresh
    c) -- You now look in ShipRush to process orders
    d) -- Do shipping in ShipRush.
    e) -- Allow 15 mins or so to be sure Volusion is updated with everything
    f) -- You export Volusion data, and manually process orders in some other system
    g) -- Volusion is updated with all the info from step 'f'

There are other ways to do it. The key is to make sure each system is working from fresh data.

We are working with Volusion to help make their system more "external system friendly."
