Thread: Error message when trying to set up shipment

    This error comes up is this just a glitch with FEDEX that will resolve itself?

    FedEx server returned: "Rating is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.". [crs:200]

    Certainly sounds like a hiccup on the FedEx servers.

    I am having the same issue and it has been ongoing but only on one of our computers with SR, the other works just fine. Also it only will not quote FedEx ground/home, all other services are estimated.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    That is correct, we have two different locations that we ship out of and on one of the computers the error message does not pop up and at the other it started appearing a couple of weeks ago.

    And it's only for Ground\Home Delivery? Are the two machines using the same FedEx Account #?

    If they are different accounts, can you create a FedEx Ground shipment (not rate)? If not, you may want to reach out to FedEx and verify that the account is in good standing and Ground is properly enabled on the account.

    Yes, we have two accounts and both machines use both accounts. We are able to still create shipments and print labels no problem, but it doesn't generate the quote. I sign off on all invoices for FedEx and we are in good standing on both accounts.

    OK, let's back up a bit (this is a thread from 2011, so we need to parse out that convo from your report).

    One PC, 'a', configured with two FedEx accounts, can ship and rate fine.

    A second PC, 'b', configured with the SAME two FedEx accounts, can ship fine, but rating on one account returns "FedEx server returned: "Rating is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.". [crs:200]"

    If the above is correct, there are two poss approaches:

    a) You can look over both systems and look for differences (we call this the "one of these things is not like the other):
    -- SR version and build
    -- Settings related to the FedEx accounts, is anything different
    -- Shipments being rated: Different service, different options, etc

    b) Move to ShipRush Web (which has side by side rate shopping, automation rules, and more)

    c) For advanced diagnostics from the ShipRush support team, you could call in and open a paid support call (would have to schedule for next week, I am afraid, today is already solid). A ShipRush tech would work to find the difference and lay out a plan of action.

    On the machine with the issue, you could look at deleting and recommissioning the FedEx accounts. This may also help resolve the issue.
